Language students with D-4 visa can legally work part-time if they meet certain requirements.

✅ What part-time jobs are possible?

The fields where D-4 students can legally work are limited.
Permitted fields: Translation, food service assistance, convenience store, office assistance, tour guidance, packaging, cleaning, and other simple labor.
Restricted fields: Manufacturing, platform labor like delivery/courier services, being an English academy instructor for minors, etc.
👉 In other words, simple tasks that can be combined with studiesare the only part-time jobs allowed, making it easy to understand.
✅ From when and where can I work part-time?
For D-4 students, you cannot start working part-time immediately after entering Korea!
From the day you obtain a language study (D-4-1) qualification, After 6 months have passed, you can work part-time.
D-4 students can stay within the duration of their permit, for a maximum of 6 months, and can only work part-time at one location during this period.
If you want to change your workplace, you must first cancel the approved workplace and then get a new part-time work permit for the new workplace.
✅ How long can you work?

During the semester: Up to 20 hours per week including weekdays and weekends
For those with TOPIK score, excellent grades, or Korean proficiency, up to 25 hours possible
During the vacation: Same criteria apply
