But realistically, you have to look for a company, write a resume, prepare for interviews... It takes quite a bit of time, doesn't it? β³
So VIVISA wants to introduce the D-10-1 Job-Seeking Visa for those people!
π‘ What is the D-10-1 Visa?

The D-10-1 Visa allows you to do internships or job-seeking activities in Korea before official employment.
π Key Summary (as of the revision on 2025.10.29)
Stay duration: Maximum stay of up to 3 years
Visa extension criteria: Can be extended in units of 1 year
Eligible job fields: Limited to professional fields (E-1~E-7)
Internship duration:
For one company: Can work for up to 1 year
Cumulative internship period: No limit
Note: You must report to immigration within 15 days after starting an internship.
Example)
β Internship at Company A for 1 year + Internship at Company B for 1 year = OK
β Continuously working for more than 1 year at the same company = Not allowed
π― Eligibility for D-10-1 Visa

D-10-1 is a point-based visa, and you need to score at least 60 out of 190 points to be granted approval.
And you must obtain at least 20 points in basic items.
π¬ Tip: If you have graduated from a domestic university and reside within 3 years after acquiring a degree + have a TOPIK level 4 or above, you are exempt from the point system!

Once you meet the points, prepare the documents! Be sure to check carefully as additional requests may be made by the immigration office staff π
1οΈβ£ Applicants for Point-Based System (for initial change)

Integrated application form (You can easily generate it on the VIVISA app!)
Copies of passport and alien registration card
Photo (3.5cm Γ 4.5cm)
Fee (60,000 KRW)
π Additional Documents
Job-seeking activity plan
Graduation or degree certificate
Proof of Korean language proficiency (TOPIK, etc.)
Proof of residence (e.g., house contract)
Career certificate (only if applicable)
Proof of financial means
You need to submit a bank certificate showing at least 5.4 million KRW, based on a minimum of 900,000 KRW per month for 6 months.
However, if you are changing from a D-2 (Study) Visa to D-10 for the first time, you do not need to submit proof of financial means! π
2οΈβ£ Exemption from Point System
π¨βπ Graduates from domestic universities with excellent Korean language ability (TOPIK level 4 or above)
(Only applicable for initial application when it is within 3 years from the date of obtaining a domestic degree)
