2026-03-10
“VIVISA helped me from part-time job application to part-time work permit application — Menya Seoul Part-time | Mai Anh (Vietnam)
Finding a part-time job in Korea requires more preparation than you’d think, so it’s not easy, right?
Today, we'll share the story of Mai Anh, a Vietnamese student happily working at Menya Seoul.
Mai Anh found a perfect part-time job through VIVISA and now is living a stable life in Korea. 🌿

— Hello, nice to meet you. Could you briefly introduce yourself?
Hello, I’m Mai Anh from Vietnam.
I am currently studying at Seojeong University Korean Language Institute with a D-4 visa.
It's been about 1 year and 3 months since I came to Korea.
— You mentioned it’s been over a year since you came to Korea, how is your life these days?
I’m now quite used to life in Korea.
School classes are fun, and since I started the part-time job, my living expenses have stabilized, so I feel much more at ease. 😄
— What were your biggest concerns or difficulties when finding a part-time job in Korea?
I tried several job-seeking apps in Korea, but most of them only supported Korean, so it was quite difficult at first.
I also worried, ‘Do I need to be really proficient in Korean to get a part-time job?’
I also searched for jobs in the student community, but with many scam posts and no responses, I felt anxious. I thought, ‘I should find a job through a reliable place.’
— How did you find out about the Menya Seoul part-time job?
A Vietnamese friend shared a VIVISA Facebook post with me.
That friend had recently received free visa consultations through the VIVISA app, and mentioned that communication was smooth because there was a Vietnamese team member.
Recently, they said they also help with job searches, so I trusted and applied once.

— What was the best part of applying through VIVISA?
Communicating with the boss was really convenient.
The VIVISA staff directly delivered my resume to the boss and helped coordinate the interview schedule, so everything from applying to starting work was really fast.
In other places, they often just say, “We’ll contact you,” and that’s it.
— Did you also apply for the part-time work permit with VIVISA?
Yes, that’s right. Initially, I thought VIVISA only helped with the job connection service.
But they guided me through every step of the part-time work permit application process, and continued to check and get in touch during the process, which really surprised me.
I was really thankful because, even though it’s a free service, they helped with administrative tasks too.
— Overall, how would you rate the VIVISA service out of 10? Please share your reasons! 😊
I’d say 9 points.
Thanks to the VIVISA team, I was able to proceed comfortably from part-time job application to part-time work permit application.
For international students like me, who are not fluent in Korean, the interpretation and administrative support are very helpful, and the steps are well-guided, so it wasn’t confusing.
Communication with the boss was smooth, so I could work without misunderstandings, and the team’s kindness and quick response built trust.
Even though it’s a free service, they helped so thoroughly, I was very satisfied. 🥰
— How was your experience working part-time at Menya Seoul?
The Korean colleagues are really kind, and the environment where everyone respects each other makes working enjoyable. 🍜
We equally share and alternate work, so there’s hardly any stress.
At first, I was a bit nervous because of my poor Korean, but the boss and employees didn’t treat me differently because I’m a foreigner, and regarded me as a team, so I could adjust quickly.

— Was there a moment when you felt most proud while working?
Now that I’ve been working for about two months, I’ve also been helping new Vietnamese students with their work! 😎
I was always in the learning position before, but now being able to help someone, I feel proud and like I’ve grown.
— Lastly, do you have any advice for other international students looking for part-time jobs in Korea?
When finding a part-time job in Korea, I think safety is most important.
If you rush to find a job, you might get entangled with scam or illegal work issues, so it’s better to apply through a reliable place.
Through VIVISA, I was able to experience an ‘environment where I can work without worries’ for the first time.
So I definitely want to recommend it to other international students to try at least once. 👍
🌿 VIVISA consistently strives to help international students find great part-time job opportunities!
Just like Mai Anh, I hope your life in Korea is filled with joyful and meaningful moments. 💙
