🗣️ When lost or card is broken
You must have been very flustered because your important ID is gone. If you lost or damaged your Alien Registration Card, you must apply for reissue at your local immigration office!

Loss report deadline: Within 14 days from the date of loss (Penalty applies if overdue 😢)
Required items: Original passport, 1 ID photo (3.5x4.5cm), application form, fee
Additional for damage: Damaged original Alien Registration Card

🛂 When your passport is newly issued
When your passport is reissued, the details may differ from your existing card. Not sure what to do? If your name, nationality, passport number, or other Alien Registration information changes, you must report the change.

Report deadline: Within 14 days from the date of reason
Required documents: Passport, Alien Registration Card, supporting documents, application form
Note: If the deadline is missed, you may be fined up to 1 million KRW.

Busy unpacking after moving to a new place? If your address changes, remember to file a change of residence report!

Report deadline: Within 15 days from moving into your new residence
Required documents: Alien Registration Card, application form, proof of residence (lease agreement, dormitory confirmation, etc.)
How to report: Visit 'Hi Korea' e-government website or local immigration office

💻 Reservation and fee information for Hi Korea
You may be confused about where to apply and how much it costs. Online and in-person applications may differ depending on the situation, so it's safest to check first on Hi Korea or by calling 1345!

Visit reservation: You must make a reservation on Hi Korea and then visit the local office
Reissue fee: Increased to 35,000 KRW from January 1, 2025 (IC chip included)
Issuance period: Usually takes 2-3 weeks to receive the physical card after applying in person
