1. Difference between part-time work permit and internship with D-10 visa

2. Conditions for applying for part-time work permit with D-10 visa

  • Visa Type: D-10-1 (Job-seeking visa after graduating from a domestic university)

  • Educational Requirements: Domestic associate degree or higher (Within 3 years after graduation)

  • Korean Language Ability: TOPIK level 4 or higher (Work time extended if level 5 or higher)

  • Residency History: No history of residency under E-1~E-7 visas

    • If you have experience staying with an E-1~E-7 visa, you cannot apply for a part-time work permit

  • Others: No criminal records or history of violating immigration law



3. Fields where the D-10 visa can apply for part-time jobs

Fields where a D-10 visa holder can legally work are limited.

  • Permitted Fields: Simple office assistance, convenience store, restaurant serving, packing, cleaning, etc., simple labor

  • Restricted Fields: Manufacturing production jobs, construction sites, English kindergarten/learning paper teachers, delivery, courier, etc., platform labor


👉 Note that while internships related to your major are allowed, only certain types of simple part-time jobs are allowed.



4. Regulations concerning working hours

  • Holders of TOPIK level 4 or higher, or KIIP midterm evaluation certificate, or pre-evaluation score of 81 or higher: Max 20 hours per week

  • Holders of TOPIK level 5 or higher, or KIIP completion, or comprehensive evaluation score of 60 or higher: Max 30 hours per week

  • Weekends·Public Holidays: No time restrictions. However, the weekday work contract standard must be observed.


📌 Important!

Employment contracts must be drawn up within the expiration date of the visa, and upon visa extension, the contract must be rewritten and the permission reapplied based on the new expiration date.

  • Example) If the visa expires on December 31, 2025, the employment contract must also be terminated by December 31.



5. What documents should be prepared?

6. What is the application process like?
